Every Brand We Cover

123 brands behind the picks on this site, grouped by what their published warranty actually covers. 54 of them make at least one thing an independent shop can fix, and 27 publish US manufacture.

A brand is not a warranty. That sentence is the whole reason this page exists: the buy-it-for-life conversation runs on brand reputation, and reputation lags reality by about a decade in both directions. Companies that built their name on a repairable product get bought and quietly stop publishing a repair path; companies nobody talks about publish an unconditional replacement policy and honor it without argument.

So the grouping below is by document, not by reputation. A brand sits in a band because of what its own published warranty says, read as written. Where a brand publishes more than one position across the products we cover, it is credited with the strongest one and the spread shows in the rows underneath — a company with one unconditional-lifetime product and four unwarranted ones is not the same company as one whose whole catalog carries the same promise.

Two columns matter as much as the warranty band and are easy to skip. Repair path is whether anyone other than the factory can fix the thing; an independently repairable product with no warranty at all frequently outlives a replace-only product with a lifetime guarantee, because a replacement policy ends when the company does. Made in is recorded only where the brand publishes it, and reads “Not published” otherwise — we do not infer a country from a brand’s accent.

We own none of these products and run no test lab. Here is exactly what we do instead, and here is what each warranty grade means in the words of the documents it came from.

How this page is funded. Forge & Forever earns a commission when you buy through the links here, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which products we pick or what we say about them - and we say plainly when something is not worth owning. Full disclosure.

Looking for the answer, not the directory? Our top pick in every category is the same registry sorted by verdict, with a live price on each one.

Warranty band

Unconditional lifetime

Wear it out and they replace it. No receipt games, no argument about whether the failure counts as a defect. This is the shortest list on the page, and that is the point.

4 brands

Warranty band

Limited lifetime (defects)

Covered for life against defects in materials and workmanship - which is a real promise, and is not the same promise as the one above. Wear-through from ordinary use is normally excluded.

41 brands

Warranty band

Fixed term

A fixed number of years, published. Useful, bounded, and worth knowing before you pay a lifetime-brand price for a term-warranty product.

23 brands

Warranty band

None published

No warranty document we could find. That is a fact about the paperwork, not automatically a verdict on the product - several things here are repairable enough that the warranty hardly matters. But you should know before you buy.
